Working with film: Medium Format
This special photoshoot happened somewhere during covid, as a way of trying to reconnect with people. choosing an analog system for it was a very smart choice, which allowed me to create a very nostalgic atmosphere in the studio, making everyone feel like they’re back in the 90s again.

After years of shooting with digital cameras, I decided to try something different and start experimenting with analog film. As a photographer, I can tell you that it's an entirely different experience.
slow down.
When you're shooting with film, there's a sense of urgency that you don't get with digital. You only have a limited number of shots before you have to reload the film, so you have to be more intentional about what you're shooting. This forces you to slow down and really think about each frame.
communication is key.
As a result, you end up with more meaningful photos. Each frame is a precious moment that you've captured, and it feels like a true collaboration between you and the model. There's something special about creating something beautiful together that you can't replicate with digital photography.
